| Co-owner Dennis Moosbrugger
has been tasting and collecting wine
since the 1970’s. He met partner
Rimple Nayyar through Rude Taster’s
Wine Club, a 35-year old group based
in Grand Rapids. It was there that they
were introduced to blind tasting, i.e.
tasting without the knowledge of origin,
varietal or vintage. As a leisurely
activity they would trade bottles in
a brown bag and try to guess their identity.
It was through these casual get-togethers
that Rimple broached the idea of an
upscale wine bar and thus, Bar Divani
was born. Dennis serves as the current
marketing director for Bar Divani and
also as a part-time General Manager.
He is also the current President of
the Arena District. The Arena District
is a group of fourteen downtown dining
and entertainment establishments devoted
to the promotion of the downtown Grand
Rapids area as a venue for great food
and fun.
Dennis is a hands-on owner and manager.
He is always pleased to meet customers
